Whew - we're cookin'

Have we been busy or what?!

Soozee's garden is quite the awesome sight and an inspiration for delightful dining! Every week we're toting more fresh veggies to the local farmers and artisan's market. How about freshly picked lettuce and other salad greens, green beans, yellow beans, cabbage, snow peas, cukes, herbs (mint, chives, oregano - and more).

And now Soozee's got the sewing bug and is creating baby britches bags from toddlers made-over bib overalls. Incredibly cute - and a must have. They work great as totes and can be used on bicycle handlebars or walkers. Now that's a fashion statement.

Oh, and can't forget the great stepping stones, garden art, folk art and bedding plants - wow do we have a colorful booth or what? Egads - and then there's the local honey and maple syrup and happy men fire starters for that campfire.

Stop down as see us on Saturdays at 17th & Washington. Oh yah, we're at the market on mosts Wednesdays, as well.

Satchel and Croft skip town for the weekend

Croft is heading out of town on Saturday, and Satchel is not far behind. Despite our best efforts to not be gone at the same time, we both are. And since we have not yet figured out how to be in two places at the same time, we will not be at the farmers market on Saturday, July 5th. See you all next Saturday, July 12th with lots of fresh veggies and great artisan wares.

What will you find at the farmers market this week?

Strawberries, honey, maple syrup, dill, lettuce, green onions, rhubarb, hand woven rugs, jewelry, tie-dye and batik, cool city coolers, hats, bedding plants, perennials, garden art, and quality artisan wares.
